Questions about this L-shaped cat scratcher

Can my cat scratch vertically and horizontally?

Yes. The upright panel provides a vertical scratching surface, and the curved lower panel provides a floor-level surface.

Is the frame solid wood?

The side panels are MDF, an engineered wood material. The scratching surfaces are corrugated cardboard.

Will it stop my cat from scratching the sofa?

It gives your cat an alternative scratching surface. Place it near the sofa area they target and reward use. Results depend on your cat's preferences and how the scratcher is introduced.
