How do I know if my dog needs a coat?
Shivering or reluctance to keep walking can indicate that your dog is cold. Small, short-haired, and senior dogs may benefit from a well-fitting coat. If your dog shows discomfort, head indoors; a coat does not replace limiting cold exposure.
There is no single temperature cutoff for every dog. Cold tolerance depends on coat, size, age, health, wind, moisture, and exposure time. Short-haired dogs may need an extra layer. In freezing weather, shorten walks and watch for discomfort.
Wet clothing can make your dog colder. A waterproof raincoat helps keep covered areas dry, but does not necessarily provide insulation. After a wet walk, dry your dog and remove damp clothing. Head indoors if your dog shivers or seems uncomfortable.
Just love this coat from GF, it's great for reactive dogs as well, like mine, who hates wearing any clothing. Thanks to the front and belly closures, she will be warm in our cold winters, and we don't have to struggle getting something over her head or her legs through sleeves!

Great Winter Coat
Warm, well made, cute coat for the colder months. Bought one last year for OG pup, this is the 2nd one I’ve bought for a new pup addition to the family. Previous coat design allowed white inside material to get caught in Velcro. New design is improved and longer an issue.

Our girl is a bit small for a pug (14.5lbs) and we ordered this jacket in Medium, which fits her perfectly - with enough room for her bulkiest harness underneath.

Beautiful jacket, excellent customer service
Unfortunately, due to my particular dog's body shape, the coat was too short on him and the next size up would have been much too long, so I had to return it. However, the customer service rep Lizzie was fabulously helpful and it is indeed a really nice jacket.

Beautifully stylish, warm and practical. I love GFs easy Velcro on and off system - no more awkward leg pulling! Got a slightly bigger size to allow for room to grow and a sweater underneath. Really love these jackets
